Momtaz has over a 15 years of experience as a Professional, Published Writer and Editor and specialises in luxury lifestyle, arts, craft, travel and the South Asian diaspora. She has written for a number of newspapers (regional & national), magazines (consumer & trade) and websites. In 2016 she launched blog/website Craft and Travel which focusses on her adventures in rainbow hunting, discovering colourful art, craft, design and fashion from around the world.
She has also published three solo books and contributed to many more.
Her roles have included Editorial Director (Asiana Wedding Magazine), Launch Editor (Ethnic Restaurant Magazine), Editor (Popular Crafts Magazine) Deputy Content Editor (Barclays) and Features Writer (BBC Magazines). As a Freelance Writer she has written for publications and online including The Guardian, The Independent, The i Paper, Net Doctor, Mollie Makes, Dog's Monthly, Enfield Advertiser, Barnet Press, Brighton Pages, Shropshire Life, VirginStudent.com, Eastern Eye, Asian Woman, Asian Culture Vulture, Asiana.tv and the New Statesman.
As a Copywriter Momtaz has produced website content for clients in the finance, fashion, beauty and design industries, written reports, leaflets and brochures and created copy for adverts. Experienced in managing teams and budgets she has worked on major projects such as new launches and rebranding.
